Way back in May we celebrated Mother’s Day and I decided to buy the Pattern Workshop from Lauren Dahl. I have learnt so much about pattern making and I’ve been sucked in and totally addicted to Illustrator! It has actually taken up most of my sewing time over the past month, hence it’s been a little quieter here than normal. I think my husband is totally over seeing me on the computer!
As a result, I’ve made a pattern! I thought I’d make a simple pattern to practice all the things that I’ve learnt and share it.
It’s called ‘The Wrap Skirt’ and is a vintage inspired A-line wrap skirt with button closures at the front. It’s designed to sit on the natural waist and fall to the knee. The button closure allows you to tailor it for a great fit. It’s perfect for beginner sewists or a really quick sew for the more experienced.

As this is a free pattern, it hasn’t gone through hard core pattern testing so please make a muslin beforehand. I really hope you enjoy it! I’m totally open to comments, suggestions and criticism. Just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I’d also love to see your creations so please share them on Instagram using #thewrapskirt @deannaoatternsandprojects
**This is a pattern that you can use to make garments to sell on a small scale. I’s love if you linked back to Patterns & Projects. The only thing I ask is that you don’t repackage and sell the actual pattern. Thank you**
